Paravit®-CF Thrive Registry:

The THRIVE registry (The Right Intake of Vitamins Evaluation) incorporates an ongoing trial underway at the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) unit Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (University of Manchester), supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust coordinated programme through the Clinical Trials Accelerator Platform.

This ongoing project, managed by the clinicians, is recruiting children with cystic fibrosis who attend the unit at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and remain on multivitamin supplementation, with a planned recruited population of approximately 160 children by the end of summer 2021. The THRIVE Registry reviews current practice to inform future improvements and collects PROMs alongside nutritional and demographic information on an annual basis. The aim is to extend this project to adults with cystic fibrosis within shared care centres, recruiting approximately 520 adults in the next phase.

All children newly diagnosed with cystic fibrosis are offered the opportunity to join the study. Acceptance criteria for the study include patients who have not previously been on a combined vitamin. They are formally asked if they wish to be included at the time of starting Paravit®-CF.
