Vitamin Levels and Dosages
The recommended daily dose of Paravit® is based on healthcare professional feedback on fat-soluble vitamin supplementation, and follows guidance from the Cystic Fibrosis Trust on the Nutritional Management of Cystic Fibrosis, 20161.

Paravit®-CF now provides 4,000 IU vitamin A per capsule and per 0.25ml liquid. Both formulations have been reduced from the previous level of 5,000 IU per capsule/0.25ml in response to healthcare professional feedback on preferred Vitamin A supplement levels for people with CF. The doses of vitamins D3, E and K1 remain unchanged, and all vitamins in Paravit®-CF capsule and liquid follow guidance from CF Trust guidelines 2016 .
These product formulation updates are being phased in gradually from December 2021, starting with the Paravit®-CF liquid formulation.

Paravit®- Mod has been developed to meet the evolving nutritional needs of CF patients. Newer CF treatments such as CFTR modulators are able to target the CFTR gene defect in adult and children which has led to notable improvements in respiratory symptoms and lung function. Due to this, observations have also been reported relating to nutritional and vitamin status in CF patients. Therefore, Paravit®- Mod offers reduced, flexible dosing for patients receiving modulator treatment.
